The first month I made about $1000. I sold the company 3 years later, and it had grow to $500,000 in monthly sales.

I believe that you can build your online business too, by following the methods and steps I actually used.

The first question that some of you may be asking is, what is a freelancer?
Google’s wonderful define function brings up this as the first description:

“a writer or artist who sells services to different employers without a long-term contract with any of them”

However personally I much prefer the wikipedia definition which is:

“A freelancer, freelance worker, or freelance is a self-employed person who pursues a profession without a long-term commitment to any particular employer”

This is much more appropriate to what we will be discussing today because if you decide to look into becoming a free lancer you may not realise exactly what is available out there to-do. There are many different types of freelancer, some of which we will discuss today. However what I really would like to do is give an overview of the industry, and give you some tips for picking the right type of freelancing and as pointing you in the right directions in terms of finding work.

Britain's economy is now a bleaker picture than ever. A report out this week states that it has been the worst December for UK retail sales in 14 years. In 2008, unemployment figures steadily rose and now in the New Year banks such as Barclays have announced 2,100
job cuts. Official figures to be released on the 23rd of January show negative growth in the UK for six months, meaning the UK is unfortunately in recession.

Womens' Jobs pay NOT enough money to live on

The TUC has said that changing womens low pay is the key way to ensure child poverty is ended in the UK. Shockingly, a third of women in work earn LESS than a £100 per week yet the figure turns to only one sixth of men being on the same poor wage.

The government wants to halve child poverty by 2010, and end it completly in another 10 years from then. But the latest figures show that children living in poverty was up for the second year running (2006-2007) and is now at a staggering 2.9 million, this is before including housing costs.
